The last time I saw EC-BZO was when on holidays in Mallorca in 2008. Hopefully the volunteers who hope to restore her will be successful in their efforts.

I flew in EC-BJC from Hannover to Palma in the summer of 1967 as a 13-year-old, with my family. Ive always been fascinated by the airplane and its records. Today, I keep coming back to Palma to visit EC-BZO. Best regards, Rolf (near Bremen, Germany)

Its a very nice website with lots of information. I have a collection with Spantax items and can provide scans of the CV990 loadsheed and DC-9 boarding passes if someone is interested.

I am looking for Spantax timetables and rotation plans (published and internal). Has someone collected these and can send me scans or copies?

Keith, very interesting site. I was lucky enough to fly LGW-PMI and v.v. in about 1974 on a BX 990, an absolute rocket! Still had all the ex American Airlines interior paneling depicting maps of the Southwest and illustrations of 'cowboy country'. Like you a collected a load of BX memorabilia which sadly has all long since gone. Having visited PMI for the first time in 1969 I was able to witness their DC3s, 6s and 7s as well as the F27s, sadly no photos...

I never got a chance to fly on a Spantax CV990 but had the pleasure of flying on their Boeing 737s when I was going on my holidays. From 1984-1987 I was a passenger on EC-DTR, EC-DUB, EC-DVE and EC-DYZ

I was too young to fly them but with their Cv-990s and late DC-7/DC-6 operations they had some of the nicest aircraft that ever flew. Keith, did you manage to fly on the last Cv-990s? Horatio del Castillo later became the technical director of Air Nostrum. They should know if he's still alive, I think he is.

Hi Annalisa,

Unfortunately I cannot help in that regard. I don't know any of the Bay family. Sorry about that.

I am Steedman Hinckley's older daugher, hoping to find Mr. Bay's grandson, Rudi Bay. My husband and I would like to get back into touch with him.
Thank you, Annalisa Hinckley Savin
